Somalia Changemakers Awards

Uplift Somalia Changemakers Awards is an annual recognition that honours individuals whose actions, vision, and character bring progress, dignity and hope to their communities. The awards celebrate people who stand for justice, speak against inequality, defend human rights, uplift their communities, protect the environment and inspire positive social progress in Somalia.

The awards highlight changemakers from across Somalia who show courage, compassion, and commitment in building stronger and more inclusive communities. By sharing their stories and recognising their impact, the award aims to inspire others, create visible role models and remind society that lasting change begins with individuals who choose to act.

Uplift Learning Center

Uplift Learning Center provides practical learning opportunities that help youth and women build high demand skills they need for employment, digital work, innovation, entrepreneurship, and personal growth. The Center focuses on Digital Skills, Soft Skills and Vocational Skills, offering learning experiences that prepare participants for real work and income opportunities.

The Center helps youth and women build skills that create opportunity and economic empowerment in a country where unemployment rates remain high.

The Uplift House

Uplift House is a space for real stories, honest expression, creativity, and thoughtful conversations. It provides a platform for Somalis whose voices are rarely heard and creates room for ideas, dialogue, healing, and reflection. Through storytelling, community conversations, art, research, and public forums, The Uplift House brings together youth, artists, thinkers, academics, and community leaders to share experiences, reflect on society, and discuss issues that shape Somalia’s future.
