Uplift Somalia held a skills development workshop for university students on 12 November 2025, delivered by Mahad Wasuge, Executive Director of Somali Public Agenda. On 12 November 2025, Uplift Somalia organised a student-focused training workshop designed to strengthen both professional and personal skills. The session was delivered by Mahad Wasuge, the Executive Director of Somali Public Agenda, under the theme “Beyond the Lecture Hall: Taking Charge of Your Future.” The workshop brought together university students seeking practical guidance to succeed in an evolving job market.
Purpose of the Training
The goal of the training was to help students understand the widening gap between traditional university curricula and the practical skills required in today’s professional environment. The session emphasised the need for students to take active leadership in their own growth, creativity, and personal development.
